全国の重要文化財や国宝を研究し、甲冑製作にあたる名匠・早乙女幸隆の技が冴える逸品。古来よりの技法を駆使し、兜のしころ部分は小札を一枚ずつ貼り合わせ、吹返しや胴の弦走り等には鹿のなめし韋を使用した踏込絵韋を張っています。鎌倉時代の甲冑を再現した豪壮な大鎧飾りです。
